Consider this typical Data Science scenario…

The General Manager of Acme Holdings is inundated with complaints about lack of communication and process failures.  After investigating he determines that in fact the problems stem from email fatigue, document version conflicts and confusion around how and where to store data.  Everyone in the business has a different way of handling their own data so when they try to collaborate confusion and frustration result.

Let's unpack this in more detail

Setting the data science scene

Acme has a local file server for data.  Some users save on this server in a folder named by project or customer.  Some save on their own laptops and some save in a personal Dropbox account.
Business communication occurs across a variety of platforms: VoIP, Skype, Whatsap, email and cellphone.
Documents and files being worked on by multiple people are emailed amongst themselves.
The above data scenario is guaranteed to cause version conflicts, frustration and massive risk to critical IP.

Our solution

Our consultants will meet with the General Manager to understand the business, its processes and where the pain points are.
A Sharepoint instance will be created in the Cloud, using licensing Acme is already paying for, with a permission structure that makes sense to the business and its processes.
Business data from all sources will be copied into the relevant folders in Sharepoint and training provided to all staff on usage and sharing.
Microsoft Teams will be setup for business related communication and collaboration.
Data policies, enforced with Group Policy, will be enabled to prevent unauthorized data leaving the network.

All staff across the business will start to use a common set of applications to share data and collaborate.  Communication, data access, revisions, sharing and permissions are all tracked and centrally available to the GM.  Staff are able to collaborate more effectively meaning less communication breakdowns and more efficiency.  And there’s a highly beneficial side effect: data security and compliance scores skyrocket!

We provide the reporting and insight which unlocks our clients’ data.  Not only to transform their business but to keep it transforming.  In this age of disruption this is no longer a nice-to-have.  It’s a have-to-have.

Create customisable and interactive dashboards for your staff which shows real-time data relevant to their roles and performance indicators. Align these indicators with your business objectives and watch efficiencies soar.

Schedule automated and easy-to-understand reports for your staff and clients with relevant and meaningful data. Choose highly detailed or visually appealing and graphical templates or customise from scratch.

Every business has processes to follow in order to achieve goals. From creating a sales order to applying for leave there is a workflow which needs to be followed to ensure control and create scalability.

Emailing files like documents or spreadsheets is incredibly inefficient and leads to version control problems and bloated inboxes. Utilizing a collaboration platform means everyone works on the same file at the same time with text, audio or video chat and a host of other useful features.

Whether you need to comply with the POPI Act, GDPR or ISO standards, Compliance is a hot topic and not going away. Luckily at Turrito Analytics Compliance is built into every stage of our projects.
